The First Business

Steve starts his first enterprise at fifteen: a lawnmowing round earning serious money before he had a plan for any of it. The entrepreneurial instinct was always there.

The Apprenticeship and the Royal New Zealand Navy

Steve completes his trade apprenticeship and serves in the Royal New Zealand Navy, learning discipline, craft, and what it means to show up and do the work. The foundation everything else is built on.

The Sales Education

Door-to-door selling. Call centres. Complaints turned into opportunities. London taught Steve what no business school could: how to hear the real problem underneath the stated one, take a hundred knockbacks, and keep going anyway. The foundation everything else is built on.

I didn't come from money. I came from hustle: a paper round, a lawnmower, an apprenticeship, and the Royal New Zealand Navy. What I built after that took everything I had. And what I lost taught me more than what I kept.
